Friday 17th July

It is my first day at home🏠 and off school🏫.

This sunny, windy, cloudy day☀️☁️💨, we went to Nannies👩‍🦳 house🏠 and met a tiny, little visitor. It was a hedgehog🦔! It had come to there house🏠 every day (ok 22️⃣ days) for Breakfast🍳, lunch🍽 and Tea🥘. He ate the same thing every meal, mealworms. Yuck🤢! Every time it came it would wait at the back door🚪 until Nannie👩‍🦳 and Stephen🧔 came to feed it. After, it would go through the bush to the next garden. I named him Sailor as he was a bit like a little pirate🏴‍☠️ pinching peoples seeds, bugs🐜🐛🦗, berries and plants🌱. He came over to me and started nibbling the mealworms in my hand🖐. He is very cute🥺. I don’t know if it is a he or a she but I like👍 the hedgehog🦔 as a he. He is very friendly and comes over to you for food or petting. He doesn’t spike you as well. Which is good👍. Here are some photos📷:

Feeding him mealworms
Him sniffing my hand🖐

I love❤️ him and I hope🤞 I see👀 him again soon.

Sophia👧 loves❤️ Frozen 22️⃣ and has watched👀 it again today. This time, though, she watched👀 it all! Which is amazing for her as she never is entertained for long on anything. A bit like me.

Colour of the day: Sky Blue Pink

Animal of the day: Hedgehog

Fact of the day:

Question of the day: Before I show you my new room, what do you think it will look like?

A hard one there

The last question, Sky blue pink won but I will add Electric Blue tomorrow.

  1. Hurray!!! I won!!! I hope you’re bedroom isn’t that colour
I think your bedroom will be a super cool dudes room with boys toys around and by boys toys I don’t mean kids games I mean nearly teenage stuff!
Hedgehog sailor 🦔 came for his tea and supper. I left tomatoes and raspberries🍅🍓 too as they are supposed to like them but he left them!?
I had no idea that orcas were dolphins. Orcas must be very naughty dolphins if they eat seals 🦈
It was such fun this afternoon to see you all in the back garden for ages and to be able to talk to you properly after all this time. I’m very happy 😊

    1. No. My bedroom is definitely not that colour. Yuck. The pink is for girls not boys, but I like the blue. ?! He did not eat his five a day. How naughty. I bet they are very naughty dolphins.

  2. Hi Jacob
How amazing to be that close to the little hedgehog.🦔🛴 Definitely a ‘ pirate’ pinching the food from people’s gardens. He obviously loves you. 💕Glad you were able to visit Nannie & make her happy too. I love the colour ‘sky blue pink’. I chose ‘ electric blue because I love Kingfishers. I use to see them down Longworth Clough but haven’t seen them for ages👎😥 A kingfisher would be a good one to put on your blog too. No I didn’t know Orcas were dolphins either. Dolphins🐬are so friendly. We saw whales on our cruise to Iceland last summer but they were humpback whales. I think your bedroom will be amazing as your Mum has decorated it. Just right for you as you will be 10 ( double figures!!)Can’t wait to see it. Love Grandma xx

      1. I think I was wrong that a Kingfisher is electric blue. Perhaps there is a colour called ‘ kingfisher blue’s??? Xx

  3. Good to see you all at nannies yesterday that was a surprise. It was an even bigger surprise to see the hedgehog, I have only seen one once a long time ago in our garden, I thought they only came out at night to eat slugs and stuff! I didnt know about the Orcas either, well done.

  4. Hi
You are lucky to see a Hedgehog as I haven’t seen one for years. The name is perfect.
I went for another sail in Kittiwake yesterday around one of the St Tudwal islands with a friend. It was awesome as it was very windy and we were going very fast with spray in our faces. To distinguish between a male or female hedgehog is difficult. You need to turn it over and see if it has something that looks like a large belly button in the middle of it’s tummy. If so it is male.

    1. I am glad you are enjoying abersoch. I bet it is difficult to tall the hedgehogs gender but one day we will know. Yuck. That would be gross and hard to turn over a hedgehog to see its belly button.
